Blackpole and Elgar are two adjacent retail parks, owned by Legal & General that we have been involved with over the last 14 years. Both sites were struggling with outdated, inconsistent visuals leading to a drop in tenants. In both cases, tenant changes in larger units offered the ideal opportunity for upgrades.

At the Blackpole site, façade updates were carried out in stages, the last units are awaiting their upgrades. Dividing larger, unmanageable units into more suitable sizes has brought new tenants and customers to the retail parks.

At the Elgar site, we have facilitated a complete rebuild of one side of the park, replacing the shop frontage with a more modern concept using full height planar glazed shopfront without impacting on the rest of the park. We have maintained the same yellow/cream colour palette of the existing units as they will need to co-exist with the modernised units until the rebuild is rolled out across the site. In addition to the façade changes, these two unit were stripped back to shell internally and new mezzanines were added.
